Because I am Human

If a light might appear in my life
I would it be a kind one
Telling me I have infinite value

Like everyone Really does

He/She would say I love you
Because of Everything I've done
Or maybe despite

That somehow my life shined
Despite being so very human

And in that shining
Was a light worth talking to

And in that light
You might tell me I'm lovable

That somehow being lovable
Saved your life
         Or someone else's
Because truth prevailed somehow
   And you saved yourself

Like we all know we should...
But it's so good to be naughty.

Life is always better when we're kind,
For you,
     And for me.
Because we are so very human

Backed Water World

Dirt, clay, gravel, a pretty view
And another pretty view
Silence that can crush your ears

Home, with the raindrops and snowflakes
And dry warm summers of spicy air
Another weed is pulled and I sit
Under open air that reaches to the moon
While stars are hidden by big blue sky

Somewhere the sun shines
Up beyond the low sky
Up beyond the raindrop
That hasn't quite decided where to go

Home with the green and tall trees
Home with the clay and gravel driveway
Home with a puddled thought
And want of ninety-nine sunbeams a day
I don't have a problem counting them
They have all day to write or call

Home when the rain lessens is more cool
With wet grass and embiggened ponds
Easier to dig, quieter to walk

The crickets are gone now.
The birds somewhere where berries grow.
The grasshoppers have crawled away.
The seedbeetle hiding from empire,
And tomorrow looks like more rain
With one morning that will last until about 3pm.

No big todo as everyone begins to do less
Eating less, growing less, earning less, working less
And probably thinking less as the world slows down.

While slow worlds happen, busyness speeds up, too,
Where busy people pretend to busy themselves with holidays
Or elections, or sales, or anything anywhere or any how they can
To get their big todo's done, too,
For big encroaching slow which nibbles
At life itself every-year and solar cycle
So that one might start anew all over again.

Spanning Locomotion

The trees stand spanning height
Growing- spreading and spreading and spreading
Mmmmm... up they go and greenly seed worlds
With their plans for destiny

And in winds- trees bow gracefully to pending doom
Bending back straight when storm is through
Taking it all in then from rain swelling ground
And worlds -too- benefit from persevering gloom
Grit not to be under-rated if soils grew the sounds of life

And life itself stands spanning time
Growing- spreading and spreading and spreading
Up we go in spacetime to seed worlds with plans for destiny
The plan of history is much of what we are living

And in wars- life suffers through
Bending back peacefully- too
Soaking up the tears and sweat shed
Painfully- too -benefiting from passed doom
But it is our history that keeps us rooted

And in all the worlds we could live
Where is the freedom and redemption of death
When people don't really die-
They live on forever in minds and hearts
To continue guiding the songs of life.

When Stones Hold my Postcards

Life is held down with a little heart
The trials and tribulations that might carry us away
The tears and torment that could sink us beyond
A little heart tacks us to this plane
Where we can live
Where we can love
Where we can laugh and learn a better day

A little light shines on Earth because of you
A little hope burns eternally because of us
A symphony plays somewhere because of galaxies that spin
Where the darkness is held at bay
Where joy can play and cavort and wimsy in the borogroves

And today I would ask your charity
Pass some light to someone whom has nothing
Pass some hope to someone forgotten
And may light lead your way and hope fill your day!
