My Day Started Dark
a little earlier than usual, and I could see sky stars shined
and when I could see sky I felt better
The vines haven't awakened
Like We haven't woke
Flowers spread now though
Grass greens with each day of Spring
Soon, very soon, I can burn and cut to burn
Out Deadfall and into my woodshed
There isn't much in the countryside
Except work we make for ourselves
Like berry picking times with family
Even planned out, it's a simple affair
And Dave's Pear is budding
But for pruning, most of my junk is sorta uncluttered
Just too wet and muddy to do much
Maybe? My Dad was a workaholic
And I his understudy?
That makes more sense than 20 errands in town.
I always have 3 or 4, and 20 grocery items.
More Money More Problems I Guess
Explains the cost of watches and timepieces
Explains the cost of labor
Explains the cost of money
My Dad told me, "It Adds Up,"
And that's all he ever really taught me about accounting money.
So, thank you reader,
I think I've realized I'm not underachieving
My Whole Family is A-Type, Workaholic-like Even!
Now when we can rest, and walk more, paint more, live more
We'll BE better...
In the same vein as the best Dad in the world, like mine,
but MayBE Good, Better, or Rather-Than-Him
Do Your Best Dad, I love you.
And miss your smile
