The rains parted And sunshine came
The flowers push up higher today
And the checks in the mail
For bills and charity to get what we need
like insurance and necessities of living
I went to the store for food and treats
Last hundred went towards crunch
For the Dog and Cats, off brand
Even though it's Purina, I checked the protein
thirty percent for cats and 21 for dog chow
It's the protein you are paying for
I was in the woods, I myself have plenty of kibble
But I lost my cushion when trip plans got canceled
Last Saturday I thought I'd be shopping for deals
Never materialized and I was running out of time
And meals and meal plans for animals,
3 cats and one dog is manageable
But I was getting short on time to find dues
